The best time to book your newborn session is while you’re still expecting—it gives us time to plan and make sure your spot is reserved. But if your baby has already arrived, don’t worry! The sooner you reach out, the better. Those early days fly by so quickly, and babies change almost overnight, so I recommend scheduling as soon as possible to capture those sweet, fleeting newborn details before they’re gone.
Many have this question about how to choose a date. I have a simple formula to make it stress-free. Before baby arrives I'll block off 3 potential dates for your session-one if baby comes early-one if baby comes on time-one if baby comes late. Having these dates set ahead give you and your family the flexibility and takes away the pressure of trying to schedule last minute. Once baby is here we will confirm the date that works best together.
I offer both weekday and weekend session. Keep in mind that weekends are the first to book up, especially during busy times of the year.
Mornings are the most idea for both newborns and toddlers. They tend to be happiest earlier in the day, which means you'll get the best photos.
Sessions are flexible and can be tailored to your families needs. Extended sessions are up to 4 hours. Occasionally babies need more time, especially if they are growing or want to cluster feed. In that case most of the extra time is simply to allow baby to eat and settle. Full sessions are 1-2 hours. These are baby led with time for outfit, prop changes and family photos. If baby is content and well fed sessions are usually around 1 hour. Mini sessions are only 20-30 minutes. For mini session baby stays fully wrapped the entire time and is perfect if your looking for a shorter simpler session.
